معلومات عن المدرسة:

Bright Future International School is one of the most dynamic and quality institutions in Doha, Qatar. BFIS has a clear objective to impart quality education to International community with the commitment. Established 16th April 1996, the School has achieved an au fait reputation within a span of few years.BFIS has seen significant growth over last twelve years and the rising strength of the students speaks of parents’ trust in the standard of education being offered here.   Essentially catering for Pakistan community,

B.F.I.S offers classes from Reception (age group 3 & above) to class XII. From class-VIII we have separate streams of Matric, F.Sc, IGCSEl, AS Level and A-Level classes. BFIS is affiliated with Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad. BFIS is the only Asian school, which is offering IGCSE to the residents of Doha. It is also one of the very few schools, which offers AS-Level and A-Level Classes. The school is a recognized exam and study centre of Edexcel, London Board, UK.

With effect from September 2000, a separate Junior school Wing with a capacity of 800 is already in place. This Wing is functioning in the main campus and caters for classes from Reception (age group 3 yrs to Class III).

A separate Girls Wing is functional since year 2002. BFIS offers separate girls and boys classes from II and onwards.

BFIS offers College classes (FSC) with effect from September 2002, offering Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical and General Science (Computer Studies) groups. The school achieved another hallmark by initiating AS-Level & A-Level classes in year 2007, as a registered centre for Edexcel, London Board, UK.

Academic Year

The academic year of the school begins in the first week of May and culminates with the third term exams in the start of April every year.

The school has three terms system, with First Term spanning over May to October, 2nd Term October to January and 3rd Term January to April.

1st Term exams carries 30% weightage, likewise 2nd Term carries 30% as well, whereas the 3rd Term carries 40% weightage towards the promotion to the next level.

Admission

Admissions are open to all nationalities round the year subject to the availability of seats. The entry is through a test in the subject of English, Science & Math and an interview. At the beginning of a session the test is based on the courses of study meant for the previous class.

For Junior classes, which are the main point of entry, however, there is just an aptitude/intelligence/picture test., coupled with an interview to assess the child’s ability. The test may also include preliminary counting and knowledge/recognition/writing of English and Urdu letters of the alphabet.

The admission is given on First come First serve basis cum performance in the entrance test.

Re-Admission

Re-admission will be considered, along with payment of Re-admission fees of QR 500/-, if the name had been struck off for reason of delayed payment of tuition fees, absentees or discipline grades.

The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate, without giving reason.

The following documents should be attached to the Admission Form:

1.Two passport size photographs.

2.Ph0otocopy of passport, also showing Residence Permit.

3.School leaving Certificate & Result card of the previous school.

4.Character Certificate.

5.Vaccination Certificate (For Nursery & Kindergarten only)

Street Address along with Location map of residence (If transport service is required for the child).

For Admission to a certain class, a student must be studying in that class or should have passed the lower class, preferably from an English Medium Institution. Students who are admitted during an academic session, will be required to pay the tuition fee with effect from the month in which the admission takes place. Students given conditional admission can be asked to leave the school if they are unable to achieve required standard or pass in next term exam.
